HSG in 5 1/2 hours. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Excited because if it is clear, that's another great step forward. Nervous because I've heard it's going to hurt like hell. And nervous that there will be a problem...

    All the best. It isn't pleasant to be honest BUT it only lasts for a tiny minute. It really is worth it for the diagnostic.
    Not long now and it'll all be done. Hope it is a good result.

    I am going to have one next cycle so I am eager to hear about it. I've heard that if you have blocked tubes, it is more painful than if you are all clear. Take some extra strength Tylenol or Advil about 30 mins to an hour beforehand is what I've been told.

    I am crossing my crossables for a good result!

    Make sure to take a pain reliever before the procedure. It pinches. It cramps. But it's doable.

    I know some have had unpleasant experiences, but mine went really smoothly and a piece of cake. The cramping is similar to an IUI (at least it was for me). Good Luck! And definitely do the pain reliever, I think Advil is better.

    Wishing you lots of luck. The pain killers beforehand (like 1/2 hour) are critical. I forgot to the last one I had a month or so ago. I was in agony.

    Good luck on the HSG! I hope it doesn't hurt too bad- but of course there is the whole increased fertility theory afterwards! all the best!!
