R found my pee stick collection this morning. He told me I need help. I told him that he's nuts if he thinks I'm the only woman out there who has obsessively pee'd on anything they could find that might confirm their positive. He rolled his eyes and shook his head and headed out the door to work. He was smiling the whole time, so I think deep down he thinks it's more cute than crazy. ;)

I took a picture of my collection, which I was going to post but Blogger seems to be having issues with pictures right now. I'll have to add that later. And work a little harder on that blog change I was talking about... (which, because I know at least a couple of you are wondering, I have done absolutely no work on since the day I posted about it!)

  1. Tell R, just for the record, Halle Berry announced her pregnancy on Oprah the other day. She took 30 tests and kept them all!! (and I intend to do the same)

  2. Hey, if I got a two lines, I'd want to collect as many tests as possible!

  3. Lovely lady,

I POAS'd every day for about the first six weeks of my pregnancy (until the first scan).

I kept the tests and still have them, even though no actual baby eventuated.

It's totally normal, either that or I'm very weird :)

  5. I kept my pee sticks for the longest time, then finally threw them out recently. I spent a lot of the first two weeks post-testing running up to the bathroom to peer at those two lines again...

  7. Oh man, if only he knew how many of us are out here, he'd be worried for man/woman-kind. Sometimes when I don't have an HPT I'll pee on an OPK just to get rid of the urge to pee on something -- talk about sick in the head.

  8. Hi Chili!
Just came across your blog {through Sara, through Nikole...} and thought I'd pop in with a comment.

I'm also a Vancouver Islander, though just moved to Sask for DH's job. Been TTV-ing since Dec 05 and have just started on Metformin this month after a clue in my bloodwork that I'm showing signs of insulin resistance....so thus some version/level of PCOS. Will start Clomid on next cycle too.

Went for a Day 21 Prog test yesterday and am curious if I did actually ovulate this cycle. I've always had regular cycles and assumed by my temping/charts that I do ovulate but maybe not strong enough. And with my insulin all wacky, sounds like it may be confusing my dear ovaries.

Very excited to hear about your BFP!.... can't imagine what a happy amazement/disbelief/wonderment that must be. No need to be ashamed of a large pee stick collection!..... it only means success. And stickiness!

I laughed though, from reading your entry from a few days ago, that you were wondering how long you'd wait before telling family.......Don't any of them read this blog?!?! :)

Congratulations again. May those lines only get darker day by day.

  9. Funny that I typed out "Been TTV-ing...." whatever that is!! Of course I meant "TTC-ing"... silly me.

  10. Show him my post about my pee stick army as evidence that you are not alone.

I still have all the pee sticks from both of my pregnancies. I just can't throw them away.

  11. If you want I'll keep 'em for you in a safe place - that way when I'm feeling down I can take 'em out and pretend they're mine.

That's an good thought I think.

  13. Congratulations! Thanks for stopping by my blog and offering yours to me. I really, really appreciate your support.

You can tell your honey that I have a pee stick collection, too. It is hidden though.

    YEEEE!

  14. You have to pee on pee sticks if you know a second line is going to show. It's practically a commandment :-)

  15. Well, I am certainly keeping EPT, Answer, CBE....in business too! You saw how many were on my blog (there are more in the bathroom as well!). Muuhahahaha!

Congratulations on the BFP's! Hoping all goes well for you!

  16. So happy about your good news!

And at least females have a REASON when we pee on things.

  17. My name is debby and I'm a pee stick addict. "Hi Debby" (from a chorus of other anonymous addicts)

I have a wide array from this pregnancy and my priors as well. There's just soemthing about seeing that line show up again and again that is so reassuring.

  18. Congratulations on the increasingly darkening pee sticks! If DH thinks that you are crazy, just show him my Story of the Sticks post and he'll see what real pee stick junkies some of us can be. I'm hopelessly addicted! I will admit, though, that I finally stopped peeing on them at 17dpo when I got my beta (which was over 500). Seemed sorta silly to spend any more money at that point... but don't you think it hasn't crossed my mind every day. :-)

  19. If I ever get preggers, I'm totally peeing on sticks for months. Right now I avoid them as I know they say nothing good, but when they finally do, I'll be keeping them. So you're not nuts:-) Or we both are...
